1. Non independent air conditioning: An air conditioning system that directly utilizes the driving power (engine) of a car to operate. Non independent air conditioning is operated by the compressor driven by the main engine and controlled by an electromagnetic clutch. When the power is turned on, the car's air conditioning clutch is disconnected, and the compressor stops, thereby regulating the supply of cold air and achieving the goal of controlling the temperature inside the carriage. Its advantages are simple structure, easy installation and layout, and low noise.

Due to the need to consume 10% -15% of the main engine's power, it directly affects the car's acceleration performance and climbing ability. At the same time, its cooling capacity is affected by the driving speed of the car. If the car stops running, its air conditioning system also stops running.

Nevertheless, non independent air conditioners have gradually become the dominant product in the market due to their lower cost (relative to independent air conditioners) and reliable quality. 2. Independent air conditioning: There is a dedicated power source (such as a second internal combustion engine) to drive the operation of the entire air conditioning system. It is generally used for long-distance freight, high-altitude board large and medium-sized buses, and other vehicles. Independent air conditioners require two engines, which result in high fuel consumption and high costs. Their repair and maintenance are also very difficult, requiring highly skilled engine maintenance personnel. Additionally, engine accessories are not easily available, especially for imported engines; In addition, design and installation are more likely to lead to system quality issues, while the additional drive engine increases the probability of failure.
